Join the Lilith Fund staff and board in welcoming the newest member of the Lilith Fund team! Tiek Johnson is joining us as Deputy Director, bringing years of experience and a passion for reproductive justice to the role. 

Tiek is a mother, environmentalist,  doula, advocate, and creative. Originally from New Orleans, Tiek has called Texas home for the past 12 years. She has more than 15 years experience working at non-profit organizations in various capacities and areas of concentration. Tiek started her journey in the non-profit realm working in the grassroots art scene and then transitioned to supporting the unhoused population in central Texas. 

Tiek was drawn to reproductive justice after experiencing a traumatic labor with her son. After the birth of her child and joining the RJ movement, Tiek found an untapped passion in full-spectrum reproductive justice and doula work.

That passion led her to 4 years of service as a member of the Lilith Fund board of directors, where she provided support and guidance to the organization in a critical time of both growth and change. Tiek also previously worked with Doula Trainings International, and Mama Sana Vibrant Woman, a birth justice organization based in Austin, Texas, that provides free holistic pregnancy, birth, and postpartum support to people of color. 

As Lilith Fund’s Deputy Director, she will support our program staff, and guide the strategy and development of Lilith Fund’s core programmatic work. That work includes our direct assistance hotline and helpline for pregnant Texans, our client engagement program, and our work to advocate and organize for a world where Texans can access the reproductive healthcare they need. These programs are at the heart of all of our work and we are grateful to have Tiek doing this work with us.
