Lilith Fund Communications Manager

Lilith Fund is seeking a Communications Manager in Austin, Houston, or San Antonio TX who will expand and strengthen the communications programming that supports the mission of Lilith Fund. The Communications Manager will work closely with the organization’s staff to develop, manage, and execute a comprehensive communications plan, which includes media relations, online and offline campaigns, creating dynamic written content, social media management, visual storytelling, and contribution to the communications needs of the organization’s fundraising goals. The Communications Manager will be responsible for strengthening the public voice and identity of Lilith Fund by polishing our branding (our look and feel), values-based messaging, and tone. The position is full time and pays $52,000 – $55,000 plus benefits.

Position Details

This full-time salaried position will be located in Austin, Houston, or San Antonio, TX and the desired start date is November 12, 2018. The position is remote. Some travel within Lilith Fund supporter/donor bases (Austin, Houston, San Antonio) and minimal travel outside of the state (for conferences and professional development) is required. The salary is $52,000 – 55,000 plus a comprehensive health care package, 120 hours paid vacation time, a 401(k) plan with up to 6% employer match, and more. The Communications Manager directly reports to the Executive Director.

Lilith Fund is seeking a Development Director in Austin, Houston, or San Antonio TX who will expand and strengthen the development programming that supports the mission of Lilith Fund. The Development Director will work closely with the staff and Board of Directors to develop, manage, and execute a comprehensive fundraising plan, including foundation giving, individual giving, events, fundraising campaigns, and online fundraising. The position is full-time and pays $57,000 – $60,000 plus benefits.

Legislative Affairs Contractor

Texas Equal Access Fund (TEA Fund) and Lilith Fund are seeking a temporary Legislative Affairs Contractor in Austin to work an estimated 10-15 hours per week and serve as a key lobbyist for TEA Fund and Lilith Fund with the Texas State Legislature. The Contractor will interact directly with state legislative offices and stakeholders, primarily focusing on  the filing and passage of legislation regarding state coverage of abortion and monitoring of legislative session to identify and leverage opportunities to promote coverage of abortion in public and private health benefit plans. This role will collaborate extensively with TEA Fund, Lilith Fund, and key partners on legislative activities related to abortion coverage, along with similar policy initiatives included in the TEA and Lilith Fund’s advocacy agenda. This position will exist in the months leading up to the 2019 Texas legislative session and will span through the end of session (November 7, 2018 – May 27, 2019). The position pays a rate of $2,000  per month.
